Company History

The early years....

Electrical Sales Corporation was founded in 1949 by Roger Bissinger.  The first work Roger did was out of his mother-in-law's basement.  Roger paid rent but with rent came home cooked lunches and Roger's favorite, hot fudge brownies.  The initial focus of the business was off shore paging systems.  Roger's business theory was simple:

"Install the best equipment for the price, make an excellent installation, and provide free 24/7 service for one year including, but not limited to, problems with the Bell System."

Roger and his staff built a solid reputation throughout the Greater New Orleans Area as a company with honest, hard workers with the ability and training to get the job done right.

Electrical Sales Corporation begins selling telephone systems....

In the mid-1970's the FCC instituted a certification program stating that all telephone equipment meeting certain standards could be connected to the Bell System's public switched telephone network. In 1978 Electrical Sales Corporation took advantage of this program and began selling and installing telephone systems in the Greater New Orleans Area offering customers an alternative to the high monopolistic prices of South Central Bell.

A new era....

In 1975 Roger's son, Allan, joined Electrical Sales Corporation.  Like Roger, Allan earned a degree in Electrical Engineering from Auburn University and worked diligently to learn all aspects of the business.

In the late 1990's the company moved its operations to the present location at 2500 L&A Road in Metairie. The new location gave Electrical Sales Corporation an expanded warehouse and a larger space for an on-site workshop.

In 1992 Allan took over as President of the company while Roger continued on as Chairman.
